Spiritual Direction may be described as an interpersonal situation in which one person assists another to develop and come to greater maturity in the life of the spirit; the life of faith, hope and charity (compassionate love).

Some purposes of Spiritual Direction are:
  • To notice God's specific self-communication in life, relationships and prayer; and offer an exterior and interior response to God's self-relevation
  • To grow in loving relationship with God
  • To notice, savor, revisit, enjoy and respond to the deep loving touches of God
  • To recognize, explore, and unpack areas of resistance and lack of freedom holding one back from God's touch
  • To experience greater interior freedom, deeper joy, a fuller life and richer relationships with God, self and others

My Spiritual Direction training is through Fairfield University's Spiritual Direction Formation Program. This is an rigorous, 4-year Spiritual Direction Formation practicuum in the Catholic/Christian tradition.

If you would like to discuss the Fairfield University Program, the Spiritual Direction process or the possibility of Spiritual Direction please fill in the following form and I will contact you as soon as I can:
